I have a confession to make, if you go to Ground Zero, then go to the museum. I really wanted to visit One World Observatory and Ground Zero, but chose only to visit the observatory tower and see the reflecting pools. It was a mistake not to visit the National September 11 Memorial & Museum. Ironically, I only realized it was a mistake as I reflected on the visit. My wife, Wendi, and I were in town for a very short period of time, and we wanted to see as much as we could. She was in … [Read more...]
What Began It All: A Trip to Niagara Falls
I love celebrating anniversaries. Well, honestly, I like celebrating anything. However, anniversaries are especially fun to celebrate. Gives me a chance to look back and see how the year has gone. Wendi’s Weekend Trips & Whatnot Gearing Up for 1st Anniversary
This month marks the one-year anniversary of my wife's blog, Wendi's Weekend Trips & Whatnot. To say I am proud of what my wife, Wendi Warren, has achieved would be an understatement. Many writers deal with … [Read more...]
Revisiting a Great Buffalo, N.Y., Eatery

We went to Niagara Falls, to Chautauqua Lake, Jamestown and East Amherst (not in that order). Actually, East Amherst was the reason the trip was even planned. We saw an episode of Diner's, Drive Ins and Dives about Grover's Bar and Grill in East Amherst, New York. It was Guy Fieri visit to … [Read more...]

For those who aren't sure who Lucille Ball is, she is the Lucy in the “I Love Lucy” TV show. As I understand it, even young people know her thanks to cable channels like “Nick at Nite.” Bobby and I stopped at a Welcome Center/Rest Area around 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, that overlooks Chautauqua Lake. We … [Read more...]
