I have been blogging for over one year. When I try to comprehend that fact, it really is beyond me. It has been a total blast for me. Since I was a little girl, I have loved writing. Blogging is an excellent outlet for me to do what I love. However, during the recent blogging conference (Bloggy Conference 2016) my husband Bobby and I attended, I have begun to wonder who my readers are. Rachel Brenke, the keynote speaker at the conference, gave us a picture of the person who reads (and … [Read more...]

How Did Owney, a Dog, Land a Writing Gig?
I know, I am not your typical beagle-terrier mix. I mean how many dogs do you know who are regular contributors on a blog? But even I am surprised by the twists and turns my life takes sometimes. A case in point is the recent invitation to travel to Put-in-Bay and then write about it. Let me back up a bit. My parents, Bobby and Wendi, recently left me at my vacation home (aka Grandma's and Grandpa's house) to go to a blogging conference. (Dad wrote about it and what he learned. You can … [Read more...]
Check Out this Eatery When Visiting Geneva On The Lake
Did you catch my post on a recent day trip we took to Geneva State Park? We, being my husband Bobby, my parents, Bud and Dolores and my niece and great nephew, Aya and Ameareka. Geneva On The Lake, which is a short drive from the state park, has no shortage of options to … [Read more...]
Lessons Learned at Geneva State Park
Maybe it is because yesterday was the Autumnal Equinox (the first day of fall), I feel the need to hold onto summer for just another day or two. I am doing that by reliving the recent visit to Geneva On The Lake, Ohio. We visited on a really hot July day -- although I think the whole summer was really hot. The "we" included my husband, Bobby, my parents, Bud and Dolores, my great-nephew, Ameareka and his mom, Aya. Ameareka is 6 years old and neither he nor his mom had ever seen Lake Erie. Aya … [Read more...]
Valravn Roller Coaster Revisited
I had the opportunity to be one of the the first 1,500 people to ride the new rollercoaster at Cedar Point, the Valravn, in May 2016. It was a great experience-took my breath away. The coaster is the tallest, fastest, longest dive coaster in the world. I recently returned to Cedar Point for Bloggy Con 2016 the weekend of September 16-18. We stayed at Hotel Breakers and had passes for the park all three days. I decided that it would be a great way to end the summer, like I started, with a … [Read more...]
