There are a whole lot of reasons why I wanted to start a blog. What is surprising to me are the benefits of having a blog. One most recent benefit was being able to attend the VIP Valravn Media Day to ride the new coaster Valravn at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio on May 5, 2016.

Driving into the parking lot brought back tons of memories of Cedar Point when I was a kid. I never enjoyed the rides that spin around and around, but get me near a roller coaster and I can barely contain my excitement. It has been years since the last time I came. But I found myself just as excited and eager to be here. More so because I feel extra special to be part of this event, thanks to the fact that I am attending the 2016 Bloggy Conference this fall. They were the ones to arrange this opportunity for me and other conference attendees to be part of the VIP group. I even got to walk on the red carpet and get my photo taken with my escort and photographer, the ever handsome, Bobby Warren, who is also my wonderful husband.

As I waited in line (this is still Cedar Point) to go on the coaster, I wrote this blog. (By the way, a great way to kill time.) As I weaved back and forth through the labyrinth maze (much shorter than if the entire park was open), I grew more and more excited. Just like when I was a kid. I am really going to be one of the first people riding the Valravn! How cool is that?

As I am wrapping up this blog post, I am getting close to the front of the line. I am shaking a little, probably from anticipation and the chill from the wind blowing. Join me Sunday for a recap of the inaugural ride on Valravn. I will give you a hint: it was awesome!
