I have been blogging for over one year. When I try to comprehend that fact, it really is beyond me. It has been a total blast for me. Since I was a little girl, I have loved writing. Blogging is an excellent outlet for me to do what I love. However, during the recent blogging conference (Bloggy Conference 2016) my husband Bobby and I attended, I have begun to wonder who my readers are. Rachel Brenke, the keynote speaker at the conference, gave us a picture of the person who reads (and … [Read more...]
5 Takeaways From #BloggyCon16
Wendi and I had the chance to attend our first blogging conference, aptly titled The Bloggy Conference. Bloggers, particularly those who operate within the politics space, have been criticized as basically being people writing in their pajamas in their parents' living rooms or basements. Happy 50th Anniversary, Star Trek
"Space, the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its five year mission: to explore strange, new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before." End of Summer Reflections

I don't know about you, but for me and my husband, Bobby, it has been a whirlwind of a season. I thought I might reflect on things a little, partly because I am tired from the weekend, but mostly because I had such a great summer, I kind of want to re-live it. The Beginning of Summer in May -- It started out quiet enough with … [Read more...]
Owney Says: A Celebration is in Order
I always find it funny when humans say that time flies. They look up and say things like, "I can't believe it is August already! Where did the summer go?" Or my favorite is when my grandpa, Bud, comments about how fast time goes the older he gets. It is true the guy is no spring chicken, but he still doesn't really understand how fast time goes for us dogs. See, I'm six years old (by birthday is in May). That makes me 42 years old in dog years, which is almost as old as my favorite uncle, … [Read more...]
