When my husband, Bobby, and I went to New York City in July, I was more than a little nervous. See, I am a girl from a small town and while there was a time that I felt the draw of the city, that was a long time ago. Now I am much more comfortable in small towns and on two-lane roads. However, we were headed to the Big Apple because that was where the conference was being held that I was doing a presentation. So like it or not, I had to "soldier through" like Bobby says. Wendi’s Weekend Trips & Whatnot Gearing Up for 1st Anniversary
This month marks the one-year anniversary of my wife's blog, Wendi's Weekend Trips & Whatnot. To say I am proud of what my wife, Wendi Warren, has achieved would be an understatement. Many writers deal with … [Read more...]
Rest, Refreshment and Revisiting the Past in Downtown Richmond

Bobby was right when he said it seemed majestic. (We entered from 62 East.) It sits up on a hill. … [Read more...]

That made me think of all the trips I've made to the Boston area over the last 20 years. Since Bobby's family is from towns very near Boston, we go visit them almost every year. We usually do some sightseeing when we're there. Now, let me just say that this is definitely not going to be a comprehensive list of things to do. We've been going there all these years and we always … [Read more...]
