I know it has been awhile since I have last posted. The reason for this is because I, along with my husband, Bobby, my sister, Randi and her husband, Shaun, have been in New York City, with Times Square serving as our home base. We have explored, traversed and basically wore ourselves out trying to do all we could in the 5 short days we were there. I had thought I would be able to post while there, but honestly by the time I was back at the hotel I was too exhausted to put two syllables … [Read more...]
Wendi’s Blog: A Summer Preview
When I was growing up in Revere, Mass., I loved watching on a Friday night the previews of the new Saturday morning cartoons coming out in the summer. Discovery of a Hidden Gem: James Buchanan’s Birthplace State Park

One Busy Friday We Spent in Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia
What began with one planned event, a 90 minute tour, turned into a day long adventure. My husband, Bobby, and I took a long weekend to visit my Aunt Kim and Uncle Jay in Pennsylvania near the Maryland State border. It was one of our favorite ways to go -- impromptu -- no set plans. Well, that isn't exactly true. Bobby did schedule us for a tour in Sharpsburg, Maryland, but that was it. Except that wasn't it at all. Here is a brief overview of our day. We will be writing more about each … [Read more...]
Things to do When Traveling Across the Pond

Thankfully, though, I have friends who also have the travel bug. I figure the next best thing to being there is talking to someone who has been. If I get a chance to see their pictures, that is all the better. My friend, Lois Callahan, and I sat down a few days ago to see pictures of her trip to Ireland and England she took … [Read more...]
