When you go on a whirlwind trip to Richmond, Virginia, there are two things you need to make sure you have. First you need a place to rest your weary head. Second you need sustenance. Fortunately for my husband, Bobby, and I, we were able to have both in very close proximity of each other. We stayed at the Residence Inn by Marriott in downtown Richmond. We've never stayed at this type of hotel before. It is a beautiful hotel with many wonderful amenities. The staff was great and very … [Read more...]
The Pines: The Beginning of Birthday Week 2016
June 2, 2016 began the 27th year that I have been celebrating my birthday for a week. While I began this tradition long before I met and married Bobby Warren, he has been the one to sustain it for so many years. He spoils me all year round, but especially the week of my birthday. This year I wanted to make sure that one of the things I did was have lunch at The Pines Golf Club restaurant with Bobby. I discovered the restaurant in January this year as my boss took us, the Performance, … [Read more...]
Five Guys Gets Five Stars

(By the way, if want to read about those events, you can click on the respective links.) One other place we stopped was at the Dor-Stop … [Read more...]

However, on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, the eagerly anticipated opening of the combined Dunkin Donuts/Baskin-Robbins finally occurred. I was super excited about Dunkin Donuts and on my way to work stopped for a donut. I didn't realize that I would be stopping by in the evening for ice cream. But hey, when my husband, Bobby, suggested we go, he didn't really have to twist my … [Read more...]
