Hartzler’s Family Dairy: Wholesome, Good Ice Cream

I don't know how many times I have driven north on State Route 3 out of Wooster, but rarely is there a time (during business hours) that Hartzler's Ice Cream Shoppe has an empty parking lot. I am usually on my way somewhere, so I haven't been able to stop by to try them at the shop. (I do visit them during the Wayne County Fair.) This should be the final installment of our Richmond, Virginia trip (but Bobby informs me it won't be, because we did stop in Charlottesville, VA on the way home). As I shared in a previous post, my husband, Bobby and I made a speedy trip (relatively speedy) to Richmond, Virginia. Because of his job with the Daily Record in Wooster, Ohio and his connection with Dr. Tony Tizzano, of The Cleveland Clinic Wooster, we were able to visit the set of the PBS/Lone Wolf Media original series, Mercy Street, a civil war-era medical drama. Back in April, when Bobby and I attended the Inaugural Cupcake Tour, we decided to end our adventure by grabbing a late lunch (or early dinner) at a restaurant in Orrville, Ohio. We really enjoy Ming Hing's lunch buffet, but it was too late for lunch. Our friend, Jessica Robinson, had told us about Jerry's Cafe. She said that they have really good burgers.
