I can't believe how fast time is going this summer. It is almost mid-July already! While this year has been sort of a "slow" year with visiting places -- we've been saving for our New York City trip -- we wanted to highlight some things to consider doing while the weather is "good." 1. Cedar Point If you love roller coasters, then obviously Cedar Point is the place to go. Their newest ride, Valravn, which is in its second season, is a take-your-breath-away drop coaster. Summer, Music (Man), and Dancing
It always is a little frustrating to me when people complain about small towns or rural counties and it being boring. Those are the same people who think living in the city with all the people, noise and traffic, give them an edge because "there's so much culture and so much to do." I'll admit I used to be one of "those" people. I couldn't wait to get out of my home town, but I was young and a little dumb. (If you want to read about my experience, you can click here.) This year was the grand opening of Cedar Point Shores Waterpark. Cedar Point has revamped some of their waterpark features and created some pretty exciting new ones, including Point Plummet. The Point Plummet slide drops its riders "down a … [Read more...]
Pleasant Hill Dam Stopped Us in Our Tracks
When I started writing my blog post from the other day, Wednesday March 15th, 2017, I had anticipated writing a post about the Pleasant Hill Dam. What turned out to happen though was I got off on a tangent about taking pictures while Bobby drove the car. If you want to read about that Fiasco you can check it out here. So this is my attempt to write a blog post about Pleasant Hill Dam. The dam itself is actually not what I expected. I guess in my head, I thought it would be something like Hoover … [Read more...]
