I believe the Bible to be the inspired word of God, without error. Every word, every person and every story are there for a reason. While I enjoy reading the Bible, I also appreciate how I can gain further insights through songs, sermons, plays and object lessons that bring the Bible to life. This is exactly what the Ark Encounter does. It brings the Bible to life and in particular the story of Noah and the great flood. My sister, Randi, and I recently took an overnight trip to … [Read more...]
Kenwood Acres Trail A Nice Easy Walk Through Nature
I love it when my parents, Bobby and Wendi Warren, are home for the weekend without any plans. That usually means they will make it a point to do something with me. As a dog, I'm pretty spoiled, ever since I was adopted into my forever home by Mom and Dad. But still, getting to get out and try new places, is one of my favorite things to do. That happened on a recent Saturday, when we took a ride out to Wooster Memorial Park's new trail at Kenwood Acres. As it happened, when Mom and Dad … [Read more...]
Some Enchanted Evening at Landoll’s Mohican Castle
There is just something romantic about a castle. I thrill at the thought of visiting one in Europe some day. But I found that I don't need to go so far to be swept away. Owney’s Fun Observations at Barnes Preserve
It has been a long and uneventful summer for me. My parents, Bobby and Wendi Warren, have been busy with other things, that we haven't really gotten out to try new things. At least they haven't done so with me, too much. Oh, sure, I get to walk around the neighborhood at least two times a day and there has been plenty of laying out in the sun, too. But to actually go any place...well let's just say I haven't been invited. I think Mom was starting feel a little guilty, because on Friday, … [Read more...]
Cedar Point: Fast Lane and Steel Vengeance Collide
I have been going to Cedar Point for as long as I can remember. When I was a kid, my dad's company, Smucker's, would have their annual picnic there every three years. (They rotated between Cedar Point, Sea World and Clay's Park Resort.) I grew up riding the Blue Streak, Cedar Downs, the Mine Ride and all the others. We might only go once a year -- or maybe once every three years, but Cedar Point was the highlight of my summers. As an adult, I have't gone quite as often, until recently. … [Read more...]
