My husband, Shaun, and I recently celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary. We wanted to find something to do together that day, that would be memorable. We decided to go to the Holden Arboretum in Kirtland, Ohio to check out the canopy walk and emergent tower. Since I can't explain it any better than their website: "The Holden Arboretum is an outdoor living museum on 3,600 acres that promotes the beauty and importance of trees and other woody plants. The grounds feature over 20 miles of … [Read more...]
LeBron Shines in Boston, His Ambassadors Shine at Cedar Point
For the second year in a row, my husband, Bobby, and I were privileged to attend a VIP Charity event at Cedar Point. Last year it was for the opening of their new roller coaster, Valravn. (If you want to read about my experience, you can click here.) This year was the grand opening of Cedar Point Shores Waterpark. Cedar Point has revamped some of their waterpark features and created some pretty exciting new ones, including Point Plummet. The Point Plummet slide drops its riders "down a … [Read more...]
Discovery of a Hidden Gem: James Buchanan’s Birthplace State Park

Malabar Farm: The Big House
The weekend my husband, Bobby, and I went away for our anniversary, we saw things that we hadn't seen before. However, we did go back and see The Big House at Malabar Farm. We had gone to visit Malabar Farm in February with our dog, Owney, but of course we couldn't tour the house. (You can read about Owney's impression of the property and his frustration about being unable to go inside building in his post about Malabar Farm here.) Bobby and I had actually seen the "Big House" back in … [Read more...]

When I started writing my blog post from the other day, Wednesday March 15th, 2017, I had anticipated writing a post about the Pleasant Hill Dam. What turned out to happen though was I got off on a tangent about taking pictures while Bobby drove the car. If you want to read about that Fiasco you can check it out here. So this is my attempt to write a blog post about Pleasant Hill Dam. The dam itself is actually not what I expected. I guess in my head, I thought it would be something like Hoover … [Read more...]
