I'm what you would call a smart dog. I can tell when my parents (Bobby and Wendi) are getting ready for work and when they are getting ready to go somewhere for fun. On work days, I just let them leave without so much as a wag of my tail. A lot of times my mom leaves while I'm still napping on bed with Dad in the mornings. On other days, when they are getting ready to do something fun, I can tell. Like this past Saturday, January 28, 2017, when they were contemplating doing something away from … [Read more...]
Did We Just Get Authentic Philly Cheesesteak in Ohio?
Wendi and I have been very busy lately, with work, with the holidays, with our great-nephews and with helping to organize a marriage event. Because of our schedules, there has not been a lot of traveling done for this blog, just a whole lot of whatnot. But, Wendi remedied that Saturday when she let it be known she wanted to go do something for the blog. Owney: Staycation Elation
When my mom, Wendi, and my dad, Bobby, decided to spend their December vacation at home, they called it a "staycation." Being a dog, I didn't know what that meant. Owney says, “‘Tis the Season for UPS”
My mom, Wendi, started her "stay"cation on Friday. My dad, Bobby, is starting his on Monday. I don't know what that really means, other than they are home instead of at work, messing up my day time routine. But the one nice things, is I can be put outside during the day. I know it is a little cooler these days, but I have a fur coat that lets me handle the cold a little longer than people. On Friday was the best, because I was outside when the UPS truck came through the neighborhood. I … [Read more...]
Saying Goodbye to a Good Friend
Ever since my mom Wendi started her blog, she has given me a chance to write posts every so often. While I typically love to do it, I must admit I wasn't too excited this time. The reason is 'cause I am writing about one of my dearest friends who left me this week to go to the rainbow bridge. My grandparents' dog Corky left us late on Tuesday night. Corky was a Beagle Labrador mix. He was about 12 years old. I met him when he was 9, but my parents are the ones responsible for him being … [Read more...]
