It has been a long dreary winter, at least it has seemed that way for me. Because of this, my husband, Bobby, and I have not gotten out much. In turn, that has meant that Wendi's Weekend Trips and Whatnot has been a little light on new content. So, when we decided to get out last Saturday, March 17, and go somewhere, I was pretty excited. Our big "outing" was going to be to Mansfield to shop at GFS (Gordon Food Supply), but still we were getting out. I was especially excited that we were going … [Read more...]
Owney’s Visit to the Vet — Not What He Expected
As you know if you've ever read any of my blog posts, I'm a big lover of the Cleveland Road Animal Hospital and Pet Hotel daycare. (You can read about why, by clicking here.) They love me there. They think I'm so cute, and well, I am. But I have never had the opportunity, or misfortune depending on how you look at it, to go to the medical side of the clinic. Main Street Wooster R&R Week Kicks Off, We Chose Smoke
While this blog has already had a post about Smoke the Burger Joint, it wasn't written by me. So this it is my turn. (If you want to read the other post done, by guest blogger, Dan Starcher, click here.) My husband, Bobby, and I decided to go on a date on Monday. He had suggested a trip to Canton, but I really didn't want to drive out of town. It was a work night after all! So I convinced him that staying close to home was better. That is when he remembered that it is R & R Week in Downtown … [Read more...]
Certified Angus Beef: A Look at New Meat Lab & Dining Room
Finding myself in Wooster's north end on a Wednesday afternoon, I texted my former colleague at The Daily Record, and now marketing manager for Certified Angus Beef brand, Bryan Schaaf. In January, I launched a digital marketing business, Wooster Media Group LLC, and I thought I might pay a visit to my old friend. Certified Angus Beef is a nonprofit organization formed by the American Angus Association to promote good, quality Angus beef. The quest for producing the best tasting beef came … [Read more...]
