If you read my blog yesterday about my dad, Warren Breese, you know I enjoy spending time with him. (If you missed it, you can find it here.) Well, I did that on Saturday, June 18. Spent the day with both of my parents, Warren and Dolores. When my husband, Bobby, and I attended the Cupcake Tour, in April 2016, part of that tour was visiting the JM Smucker Company Store and Cafe. I decided then that for Father's Day I would get my dad a selection of Smucker products. You see when I was … [Read more...]
Owney: A Rose by Any Other Name, Still Smells Sweet (at Secrest Arboretum)
My mom, Wendi, recently celebrated her birthday week. My dad, Bobby, thought that even though she had gotten to do some really fun things (which you can read about a couple here and here) he really wanted to end the week with just the two of them. Well, you know how cute I can be, especially when I look at them with my "puppy dog" eyes. Great Birthday Celebration, I Mean It. Anybody Want a Peanut?
My birthday celebration this year was quite a production. It had been in the works for the better part of the year. Ron went with Bobby, while Jan was made responsible for getting me to the event on time. What was the event, you … [Read more...]

June 2, 2016 began the 27th year that I have been celebrating my birthday for a week. While I began this tradition long before I met and married Bobby Warren, he has been the one to sustain it for so many years. He spoils me all year round, but especially the week of my birthday. This year I wanted to make sure that one of the things I did was have lunch at The Pines Golf Club restaurant with Bobby. I discovered the restaurant in January this year as my boss took us, the Performance, … [Read more...]
Five Guys Gets Five Stars
I can't remember the first time I went to a Five Guys Burgers and Fries. I do remember that I thought it was great. The burgers were big, they make fresh cut fries and they give you plenty of them. So you can imagine my delight when I heard that a Five Guys was being built at the north end of Wooster. Waiting for it to be opened was a true test of my patience. It was on Monday, May 30, that they officially opened. Bobby and I had been dog sitting in Lodi, but were heading home in the … [Read more...]
