I have been "skiing" one time in my life. I say "skiing" because actually I spent more time on the ground or in the lodge. And that was 25 years ago--yeah, I said 25 years. So when my husband, Bobby, and I took a trip to Massachusetts to visit family for the holidays and our nieces and nephew and cousin said they were going skiing at Ski Bradford I thought it would be fun to give it a second try. This time though, I decided to not get frustrated if I fell down. I told myself I would take the … [Read more...]
Polcari’s: Where Everything is Better Than Good
EDITOR'S NOTE: Below is a post my husband wrote about Polcari's restaurant in Saugus, Massachusetts last year. It was originally posted on November 2, 2016. Wendi and I made the trip to Gillette Stadium and Patriots Place, and we went through the Patriots Hall of Fame and museum. I grew up in Revere, Mass., and liked the Patriots. I remember when Jim Plunkett was our quarterback. My favorite was Steve … [Read more...]
Grocery Shopping in Massachusetts

My sister-in-law, Michelle, says she isn't a good cook and while I don't agree with her, one thing she knows how to do really well is throw together a massive spread for family get togethers. It's great … [Read more...]
