There is just something romantic about a castle. I thrill at the thought of visiting one in Europe some day. But I found that I don't need to go so far to be swept away. I discovered this during a recent visit to Landoll's Mohican Castle. The Castle is celebrating it's Kingdom of Lights this holiday season (November 17, 2018-January 6, 2019). They have decorated each building with lights and piped in Christmas music to put everyone in the holiday spirit. I found out about the event through … [Read more...]
Ice, Ice (and More Ice) Baby! Chillin’ Out at Medina Ice Festival
February 13, was a perfect day to view the ice sculpture displays at the 2016 Medina (Ohio) Ice Festival. It was freezing, so there was no fear of the sculptures melting. Enjoy my flashback post, but more importantly enjoy the festivities downtown on Friday. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...or at … [Read more...]

That's where I fell in love with the steel guitars, fiddles and cowboys. Among others, like Travis Tritt and Tracy Bird, Vince Gill was one of my favorites. I loved that he could convice me in one song of his deep emotions and in another of his sense of humor. Back then, I never would have imagined that I'd … [Read more...]
