June 2, 2016 began the 27th year that I have been celebrating my birthday for a week. While I began this tradition long before I met and married Bobby Warren, he has been the one to sustain it for so many years. He spoils me all year round, but especially the week of my birthday. This year I wanted to make sure that one of the things I did was have lunch at The Pines Golf Club restaurant with Bobby. I discovered the restaurant in January this year as my boss took us, the Performance, … [Read more...]
Five Guys Gets Five Stars
I can't remember the first time I went to a Five Guys Burgers and Fries. I do remember that I thought it was great. The burgers were big, they make fresh cut fries and they give you plenty of them. So you can imagine my delight when I heard that a Five Guys was being built at the north end of Wooster. Waiting for it to be opened was a true test of my patience. It was on Monday, May 30, that they officially opened. Bobby and I had been dog sitting in Lodi, but were heading home in the … [Read more...]
Cheesemaking is Easier Than You Think; Thanks to Ricki’s and Lehman’s

Cleveland Half Marathon? Challenge Accepted!
My sister, Randi, and her husband, Shaun, are people that once they commit to something, they are committed. That is something I admire about them. However, when they said they were going to tackle a half marathon, I thought they were crazy. You see, if you are new to my blog, I am on the opposite of athletic. In fact, if you see me running, you better run, too, because something is chasing me. (I stole that from Facebook.) But Randi and Shaun accepted the challenge to run the Rite Aid … [Read more...]
I’m Someone Special at Special Person Day
When my niece, Ashley, told me that my great-nephew, Noah, was having a Special Person day at his school and that he wanted me and Uncle Bobby, my husband, to come, I was thrilled. Bobby and I never had the opportunity to attend anything like this for any of our nieces or nephews when they were growing up. The closest I got was attending Candy Bar Bingo at our niece Courtney's, school in New Hampshire. Bobby and I took the day off to drive the 2 hours to go to Montrose Elementary School … [Read more...]
