My mother's birthday is today. I wanted to repost this from 2019. This past year we heard a lot about heroes and I truly think my mom is one. She sacrifices for her family and friends so much. She gives until she has nothing left. She is amazing. And I want the world to be reminded once again of these important lessons I learned from her. (I've added some different pictures.) January 13th is the birthday of one of the most influential people in my life. She has molded me through the years to … [Read more...]
Art Studio Owner Lets You Show Your ‘True Colors’
You know how someone says you have green thumb when you garden well? Well, whatever the term they use for someone who has natural artistic ability would not be an adjective to describe my painting skills. However, even being artistically challenged, Erin from True Colors Art Studio, has a knack of not only helping you paint, but also feel like you could give Monet, Rembrandt or Picasso a run for their money. I started working out of the home until I got an office on the Wooster campus of The Ohio State University. However, OSU President Dr. Michael Drake and Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine both told me the same thing: Stay at home. Drake didn't want me in the buildings on campus, and DeWine didn't want me outside. So, Wendi … [Read more...]
Owney’s New Job Title: Chief Scheduling Officer
My mom, Wendi, the founder of this blog and all time most awesome mom, has recently left her job at The Village Network to help my Dad with his business, Wooster Media Group, LLC. Recently a news press release was printed in the local paper, The Daily Record. While I am excited that Mom will be working with Dad from home, I am a little annoyed that nothing was mentioned about my new job. O.K. I know I'm a dog and other than specific working dog breeds, we mostly don't have jobs -- other … [Read more...]
