I have been a Bible believing Christian for decades now. I don't hide my faith, but I will admit that I'm not vocal about it either. I've always been uncomfortable with "witnessing" to people about Jesus. But I have been recently convicted of my need to share the gospel -- the good news -- about Jesus, my Savior. Anyone who knows me, knows that I have always been drawn to poetry. Not deep poetry, but Hallmark greeting card poetry. So as a way to share this message that's been on my … [Read more...]
God Blessed Us, Everyone
My husband, Bobby and I watch The Muppet Christmas Carol every year. This is one of our favorite holiday traditions. Gracia Burnham Survives Horrible Ordeal, Inspires Others
I have had a very blessed life. I know I am spoiled. God has seen fit to give me a great husband to share this life with. I had been living in that torturous state for many, many years. In fact it is hard for me even to remember what life was before the demons began their reign. I do remember somewhere deep in my soul praying to God for release from that prison. Somehow my prayer reached God's ears and he had mercy on me. I heard about … [Read more...]
Why This Friday is So Good

When I had finished the first draft, I let an acquaintance read it. She was someone I really admired and I valued her opinion. While she complimented my efforts, she challenged me on my main character's reliance on someone other than herself to rescue her from her circumstances. I did not take her advice to change my character. Maybe because we live … [Read more...]
