While this blog has already had a post about Smoke the Burger Joint, it wasn't written by me. So this it is my turn. (If you want to read the other post done, by guest blogger, Dan Starcher, click here.) My husband, Bobby, and I decided to go on a date on Monday. He had suggested a trip to Canton, but I really didn't want to drive out of town. It was a work night after all! So I convinced him that staying close to home was better. That is when he remembered that it is R & R Week in Downtown … [Read more...]
Couples Date Event at Parkview Christian Church Scores Big
As long as Bobby and I have been married, we have heard the importance of making our relationship the most important human relationship we have. Don’t Put Selfless Elf (5K) on the Shelf
Friday was a long day, and I was so worn down that I did not want to run in the fifth annual Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank Selfless Elf 5K, a fundraiser to feed the hungry. The Stories You Hear at the Long, Cook & Samsa Open House
One of the benefits I get by being Bobby Warren's wife is the opportunity to meet new people. Whenever we go anywhere in Wayne County, Bobby knows someone. He is always saying, "Have you met my wife, Wendi?" Because of Bobby's connections we have been blessed to get an invitation to Long, Cook & Samsa's Annual Christmas Open House. (Long, Cook & Samsa, Inc is a well established accounting firm in Wooster.) We joined what seemed like half the county this past Wednesday for the … [Read more...]
The Village Network’s Sweet Jubilation: Because Life’s Not So Sweet Sometimes
Saturday night, I had the chance to join my lovely wife, Wendi Warren, the founder of this blog, for a wonderful evening at The Village Network's Sweet Jubilation at the Shisler Center on the Wooster campus of Ohio State University. Never having seen Sweet Jubilation up close and personal, I always thought of it as a black-tie affair to raise money for the nonprofit organization. The entire evening was a fun time, except for one moment (but, we'll return to this later). We walked in and … [Read more...]
