Getting out with my sister, Randi, and my mom, Dolores, is something that I really like to do. It doesn't happen as often as I would want. Realizing that I was going to have some time off from work in early January seemed like the perfect time to get a "Girl's Day Out" on the calendar. It was a week earlier than Mom's birthday, but she was good to go with the flow. We decided to stay nearby and visit shops in Medina that are on or near the square. The day started off, however, in downtown … [Read more...]
See Nation’s First Presidential Museum In Ohio
I was never much interested in history when I was a kid. Well, I did buy a book about Abraham Lincoln from Scholastic Books in the 4th grade, but other than that, history was boring. It's not exactly the mission of Wendi's Weekend Trips and Whatnot to try them all, but then again having the chance to try a new is always a winning opportunity for us. So when I made a trip with my husband, Bobby and my parents, Bud and Dolores to North Olmsted and found out there was a Brown Bag Burgers in town, I was interested. After reading a few reviews saying they were better than Five Guys ... well let's just say I had to see for … [Read more...]

Word spread on Facebook about the closing, and today a friend of Bobby's posted on Facebook a picture of the restaurant with the front windows papered over. A lot of people searching for Gouda landed on this blog post because the place didn't have a website, just a Facebook page. It was the second-most popular page on this website, behind Six Things You Need to do in Minerva. Here is the … [Read more...]
