Bobby got a cold for Christmas and he decided to give it to me for New Year's. I've been struggling for a few days just to do the minimum required for getting by--you know eating, sleeping and going to work. However, on this first day of the new year, I wanted to reflect back on the awesomeness that was 2015. I started a blog! Is that not crazy?! It has been such a fun ride. I have gotten to see and do so many cool things. And now they are recorded for all time--or at least until the … [Read more...]
First Amendment Returning to First Love
The saying goes, "All good things must come to an end." While that might be true, it is best when we get a chance to say when the end comes. That is exactly what Kyle Durniat and her family have been able to do with the First Amendment Public House in Downtown Wooster. They will be closing the restaurant on December 31, 2015. Revisiting a Great Buffalo, N.Y., Eatery

We went to Niagara Falls, to Chautauqua Lake, Jamestown and East Amherst (not in that order). Actually, East Amherst was the reason the trip was even planned. We saw an episode of Diner's, Drive Ins and Dives about Grover's Bar and Grill in East Amherst, New York. It was Guy Fieri visit to … [Read more...]
Heck’s Cafe Worth the Effort, Journey & Money
Saturday, August 22, 2015 was the day that my sister, Randi, and I did the obstacle/zip line course at the Go Ape Treetop Adventure in Strongsville, Ohio. (You can read more about that and watch videos here.) It was also the day that we rewarded ourselves for our efforts at Heck's Cafe in Avon, Ohio. When I say it was a reward, I mean it! For background, Bobby and I found out about Heck's Cafe through our newest favorite Food Network show, Burgers, Brews and 'Que, hosted by Michael Symon. … [Read more...]
