When my parents, Bobby and Wendi, took me to Put-In-Bay, I wondered how we would get around. I like walking, and in fact would walk a whole lot more if I could. But I had heard the island is a pretty good size place. I was worried that my little legs wouldn't last the day. Thankfully my fears were put to rest, because we had a golf cart from E's Golf Carts to use. (Thanks to the generosity of the Miller Boat Line, my parents didn't have to pay for the cart. Thanks, Katrina! You saved my … [Read more...]
What Dogs Can Expect When Riding Miller’s Ferries
When my parents, Bobby and Wendi Warren, told me I had been asked to write about my experience on Miller's Ferry from Catawba Island to Put-In-Bay, I was really excited. I never been on a ferry before. What I didn't realize is that the ferries operated by Miller Boat Line travel across Lake Erie to get to Put-In-Bay (and other destinations. Hey, I am a dog, don't judge me.) I probably should explain, water really isn't my friend. My parents know this because within the first month of … [Read more...]
Valravn Roller Coaster Revisited
I had the opportunity to be one of the the first 1,500 people to ride the new rollercoaster at Cedar Point, the Valravn, in May 2016. It was a great experience-took my breath away. The coaster is the tallest, fastest, longest dive coaster in the world. I recently returned to Cedar Point for Bloggy Con 2016 the weekend of September 16-18. We stayed at Hotel Breakers and had passes for the park all three days. I decided that it would be a great way to end the summer, like I started, with a … [Read more...]
Osaka: Where Playing with Food is Acceptable
We probably have all been told at least once in our lives to stop playing with our food. I think parents get this phrase passed down from generation to generation. However, the old adage does not apply when your food becomes part of the entertainment. This would be the case if you visit Osaka Asian Restaurant. My husband, Bobby, and I went to the restaurant one Sunday after church this past summer. We met my sister, Randi, and her husband, Shaun there. We were joined by another family of … [Read more...]
Spending Part of the Day at the ‘Night of the Museum’
If this blog is about anything, it is about fun trips, tasty eats and good movies. My husband Bobby and I have started to look for ways we can visit movie locations, and the latest one is "Night of the Museum." The movie, starring Ben Stiller and some museum exhibits, was filmed, in part, in the American Museum of Natural History in Manhattan, across the street from Central Park and down the street from the building featured in "Ghostbusters." What I really liked about this movie is that … [Read more...]
