Bobby and I don’t have biological children. We do have 5 cats (now that we adopted Kirby) and 1 dog. But we also have 3 other children through Compassion International.
Satish, Diane and Christian have been a great blessings in our lives. We have the opportunity to impact them now and for eternity through the ministry of Compassion. Just a few dollars each month can give them an education, health care, clean water, physical and spiritual nourishment.
Now we have an chance to assist more children through the Compassion Step Up Walk that is being held at the Oak Hill Park in Wooster, Ohio on October 31, 2015. This walk is an education opportunity for people to get a glimpse of what it is like to grow up in third world countries. It also will teach how Compassion helps children in tangible ways. Their mission is “releasing children from poverty in Jesus’ name.”
I am asking you to consider joining me. You can join my team and raise money for Compassion. The money from this event will be specifically to “address the serious needs of chidren that go beyond sponsorship.” Maybe you don’t want to commit to raise money yourself. That is fine, you can donate to my team. Click here: Wendi’s Walkers.
Whatever you decide, please pray that this event is successful for not only raising money, but also raising awareness. And whether you join my team or not, please consider joining me on October 31 at Oak Hill Park. The event begins at 10 a.m. I hope to see you there!
