I know, I am not your typical beagle-terrier mix. I mean how many dogs do you know who are regular contributors on a blog? But even I am surprised by the twists and turns my life takes sometimes. A case in point is the recent invitation to travel to Put-in-Bay and then write about it.
Let me back up a bit. My parents, Bobby and Wendi, recently left me at my vacation home (aka Grandma’s and Grandpa’s house) to go to a blogging conference. (Dad wrote about it and what he learned. You can read it if you click here.) They met a lot of nice people. One lady was Katrina Reed, who works in communications for Miller’s Ferry.
She talked with Mom and Dad about the possibility of taking the ferry to the island. Mom has always wanted to go there. Then somehow Dad mentioned me and that I sometimes write blogs for Mom. Katrina thought it was a really great idea if I actually wrote a blog about the ferry and island. Can you believe it?!
So, some time before the end of the season for visiting Put-in-Bay, I am going to get to go with Mom and Dad on one of their adventures! The time to visit is before the end of October, which is next month, I think. (I am a dog, so telling time isn’t really my thing.) Mom said it would be a day trip, but I am kind of hoping she changes her mind. I’ve never been in a hotel before. Heck I have never been on a ferry before or an island for that matter!
So, make sure to check back often. Or better yet, subscribe to my, ahem, I mean, Mom’s blog, so you won’t miss it.
