Fall is great! It is beautiful with the changing of the leaves. It is bearable with its cooler weather. It is football season. (O.K. maybe the last one only works if you’re a football fan.)
Family is awesome! It is beautiful building memories together. It is bearable and easier to let your hair down and be yourself with them. It is nice to have connection with people who “knew you when.” (O.K. maybe that last one only works if you have achieved greatness–which I’m still working on.)
However, put fall and family together and what do you get? FUN! Or at least that is what I have had this fall, or more specifically, in October.
Early in October, I attended the first birthday of my second cousin, Liliana. My cousin Shvonne is her mom. The party was held at Hubbard Valley Park. Here are a few pictures I took. Can’t believe how much Liliana looks like her mom!
Later in October I went with my mom, sister, Randi and great nephews, D’Aveon and Noah, to Stoney Creek Farm. We enjoyed a hayride, a straw bale maze, a meadow maze and roasting hot dogs and s’mores over a fire. We also picked a few pumpkins to decorate for Halloween. Here are a few pictures I got there. You might not be able to tell by the pictures, but D’Aveon and Noah were having a great time!
Finally, where we live, I get the opportunity to walk Owney through a couple of large fields that are bordered by trees. My phone doesn’t do the colors justice, but here are a few pictures I took when we were walking one Saturday afternoon.
How about you? Have you had fun this fall? Would love to hear about it. Please leave comments below.
