Saturday, August 22, 2015 was the day that my sister, Randi, and I did the obstacle/zip line course at the Go Ape Treetop Adventure in Strongsville, Ohio. (You can read more about that and watch videos here.) It was also the day that we rewarded ourselves for our efforts at Heck's Cafe in Avon, Ohio. When I say it was a reward, I mean it! For background, Bobby and I found out about Heck's Cafe through our newest favorite Food Network show, Burgers, Brews and 'Que, hosted by Michael Symon. … [Read more...]
Owney Finds His Forever Home
Owney has been a part of our family for two years. We adopted him August 17, 2013. Below is an article I wrote for the Wayne County Humane Society Newsletter. Our dog of 14 years, Madison, passed away on March 5, 2013. She had been such an integral part of our lives, it was hard to be without her. I heard them announce that there were 12 teams that represented different organizations/groups. Bobby and I were part of The Village Network's team. Last … [Read more...]

Then there was the birthday week when I met Josh Krajcik. Josh was playing a concert at the Wayne County Fairgrounds on June 8, … [Read more...]
Once Upon a Time …
This blog entry originally appeared as a guest post by me on my husband's blog, The Z Section. After being tucked away since Christmas 2008, it is in the process of being illustrated and will be available for Kindle readers in the near future. Once upon a time ... those words have always sent my mind racing to the end knowing that no matter what there would be a … [Read more...]
