Since my mom, Wendi, has been laid up for a a couple of weeks, I decided to write about my trip to the Country Corner Animal Clinic. Thanks to their willingness to accommodate my freaked-out mom, I got the treatment I needed to feel better. It all started earlier this week. I was really tired and my tummy felt yucky. When Mom and I went out for a walk, I thought eating grass would help. It didn't. All I wanted to do was lay around. Mom noticed on Tuesday, October 6, that I wasn't … [Read more...]
Lessons Learned from Downton Abbey
I have recently been recuperating from a gall bladder surgery. That meant many hours at home, with no gumption to do anything but sit. Thank goodness for Downton Abbey. But my dad told me when I was a little girl, that when I grew up I could have all the darn animals I wanted. Well, tonight, I have brought home a new kitten. Our friends, John and Jackie Drake, who own Valley Oaks Farm, had a kitten show up recently. They were not in a market for a new kitten. I, however, have … [Read more...]
