My wife, Wendi, the founder of this blog, helped me knock out two items on my alleged bucket list (I just call them things I want to do, but bucket list is -- or was -- so trendy) on my birthday in December: Go to Westside Market and Ohio City Burrito. Despite the fact that we had to leave Wooster and Wayne County to get to Cleveland, I discovered we never really left Wayne County behind. Marshallville Meats: The first sign of home came in Westside Market. While looking at all of the … [Read more...]
5 Things You Have to Do When in Boston
May seem silly, but the little bit of snow we got today made me think of a trip to Boston when we got snowed in. That made me think of all the trips I've made to the Boston area over the last 20 years. Since Bobby's family is from towns very near Boston, we go visit them almost every year. Happy 2016: Lessons in Reflections
Bobby got a cold for Christmas and he decided to give it to me for New Year's. I've been struggling for a few days just to do the minimum required for getting by--you know eating, sleeping and going to work. No, it's not rain drops on roses or whiskers on kittens...although I do like chasing kittens...but that isn't the same thing. It is Doggie Day Care. I'm lucky enough to get to go every Wednesday to day care at Cleveland Road Animal Hospital and Pet Hotel in Wooster, Ohio. Mom and Dad (Bobby) say that I need to go 'cause when I don't, I get … [Read more...]

Randi had gotten two sets of gingerbread villages that included frosting and candy as well as the gingerbread building … [Read more...]
