I love New York-style pizza, which is based on the original Pizza Margherita from Naples, Italy. It features a thin, but crisp crust, tomato sauce (true Neapolitan pizza uses San Marzano tomatoes run through a food mill with a little salt) and mozzarella cheese. It is this New York-style pizza that made its way to Boston and perfected at Pizzeria Regina in the North End. So, when Wendi and I were headed to New York City, I asked my co-worker, Mogie, where to go because she used to work in the … [Read more...]
Catching our Breath after Taking a Big Bite out of the Big Apple
I know it has been awhile since I have last posted. The reason for this is because I, along with my husband, Bobby, my sister, Randi and her husband, Shaun, have been in New York City, with Times Square serving as our home base. We have explored, traversed and basically wore ourselves out trying to do all we could in the 5 short days we were there. New York City, Here We Come — Again!

My impression of New York was that it was crowded and busy. But in October 2015 I put in a proposal to do a presentation for a conference that would be held at the … [Read more...]
Things to do When Traveling Across the Pond
One of the things that has become painfully obvious to me since beginning this blog is that I cannot go everywhere I want to go. I am limited by time and resources. Thankfully, though, I have friends who also have the travel bug. I figure the next best thing to being there is talking to someone who has been. If I get a chance to see their pictures, that is all the better. My friend, Lois Callahan, and I sat down a few days ago to see pictures of her trip to Ireland and England she took … [Read more...]
Five Reasons I am Glad I Chose Columbus Airport
It used to be that my go-to airport was Akron-Canton. We could hope a plane and in less than two hours we'd be in Boston . This was great because my husband's family lives near Boston. But we can't do that anymore due to mergers in the airline industry. Thankfully, I have found a new favorite airport, the John Glenn International Airport. Here is why: It's Convenient Granted it is not as close to me as the airport in Canton, but it still isn't a bad drive from where we live in Wayne … [Read more...]
