I have always liked to have options when I'm dining out. Whether it is the Cheesecake Factories 27 page menu or the list of add-ons from Five Guys menu, I like that I get a choice. And for me, that means a place like Salsaroja Bar and Grill is right up my alley. My husband, Bobby, had suggested we stop in for a late lunch one day last week. Salsaroja is one of the newer restaurants in downtown Wooster, Ohio on Liberty Street. It is a Mexican restaurant that specializes in tacos. They also … [Read more...]
Celebrating our 25th at the Olde Jaol Steakhouse
My husband, Bobby, and I have been married for 25 years! I know, it's hard to believe that it could be that long since we look so young, but it has. I had thought that on our anniversary, we would be able to spend the day together... alone...away from the house and computers. However, due to circumstances, we couldn't take the day off. See New Orleans From a Newbie’s Eyes
As I start this post, I have been in New Orleans for a total of 20 hours. That's from the touchdown of the airplane til now. Coming from Ohio the first thing to stand out was obviously the weather. The next thing to stand out was the friendliness and helpfulness of the citizens. I must look like I am clueless, which isn't far from … [Read more...]
Kozmo’s Grille: In My Mind I’m Already There
Before I moved to Wooster I never gave much thought to Massillon, Ohio. But over the years it has started to become a destination spot for me. I've enjoyed movies at the Regal Theater and at the Lion's Lincoln Theater. You can read about our time watching White Christmas or Prince Bride at the Lion's theater in earlier posts. We've also enjoyed eating at Bella Sera a fantastic Italian restaurant in the nook of a shopping center. But I have found another reason to make a trip to Massillon for a … [Read more...]
Take a Trip Down to MacKenzie River Pizza
The first time I went into MacKenzie River Pizza Grill & Pub I knew that I would have to bring my husband, Bobby, back to try it. There was just something about the place and the fact that though they originated from Montana, it was their pizza they were known for, so it was a no brainer that I would be back with my pizza-loving husband. That was almost one year ago, but I finally accomplished this during a recent trip to Columbus. Friends of ours, Ron and Jan Maxwell, had invited us … [Read more...]
