The weather was so great Saturday, February 18, that I told Bobby we had to go do something. We ended up taking Owney to Malabar Farm State Park. At the end of the visit, Bobby suggested we do a podcast, so we did ... right there from Malabar Farm. You can see photos from the visit and listen to the podcast by clicking the video below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6j7EPG_UFU … [Read more...]
Simon’s: Real New York Pastrami in the Buckeye State
This past Monday, February 6, I asked my husband, Bobby, for a favor. I had to go to downtown Cleveland to drop off a document for my company, so I asked him to drive me. I really dislike driving to Cleveland. Even though it is closer than Columbus, I would rather drive there than go north to Cleveland. Because Bobby is fully awesome, he only hesitated for a moment. He agreed to take me, if I would do the driving back to Wooster so he could work. I agreed. Whatever it took so I didn't have to … [Read more...]
Owney says, “Bedford Reservation: A Great Place to Investigate.”
I'm what you would call a smart dog. I can tell when my parents (Bobby and Wendi) are getting ready for work and when they are getting ready to go somewhere for fun. On work days, I just let them leave without so much as a wag of my tail. A lot of times my mom leaves while I'm still napping on bed with Dad in the mornings. Did We Just Get Authentic Philly Cheesesteak in Ohio?

Because of our schedules, there has not been a lot of traveling done for this blog, just a whole lot of whatnot. But, Wendi remedied that Saturday when she let it be known she wanted to go do something for the blog. That something turned out to be a triple treat: Lunch at Original Steaks and Hoagies in Twinsburg, Ohio; a walk with Owney, our dog, through … [Read more...]
Oh, Mercy! Mercy Street Season 2 Begins Sunday
When I was a kid I always looked forward to fall, not just for the cooler weather, but also because of the new TV shows and new seasons of my favorite TV shows starting again. Thankfully for me, an avid couch potato, I don't have to wait to get my fix of new episodes until fall for some of my favorites. Now new seasons start in January, too. A show that is beginning again that I am so excited for is Mercy Street. It is a PBS historical medical drama that is set in Alexandria, Virginia during the … [Read more...]
