When my husband, Bobby, and I participated in the inaugural Cupcake Tour earlier this year, we had the opportunity to visit five different Wayne County businesses. The tour took us to P. Graham Dunn, Smuckers Company Store and Cafe, Shisler's Cheese House, Eastwood Furniture and Lehman's. Each site had something unique to offer - and I am not talking about the different kinds of cupcakes. Whether it was jams and jellies, pictures and plaques or cheese and crackers, there was something unique to … [Read more...]
P. Graham Dunn in Dalton: A Place Where Beauty Abounds
I like to visit places that are beautifully decorated. I think I appreciate them because I lack the natural talent for creating beauty. I definitely think it takes an artistic eye to make a room pleasing to the senses. Therefore, visiting P. Graham Dunn during the recent Cupcake Tour, was a real pleasure for me. Jerry’s Cafe: Are These the Best Burgers in Orrville?
Back in April, when Bobby and I attended the Inaugural Cupcake Tour, we decided to end our adventure by grabbing a late lunch (or early dinner) at a restaurant in Orrville, Ohio. Spent the day with both of my parents, Warren and Dolores. When my husband, Bobby, and I attended the Cupcake Tour, in April 2016, part of that tour was visiting the JM Smucker Company Store and Cafe. I decided then that for Father's Day I would get my dad a selection of Smucker products. You see when I was … [Read more...]
Five Guys Gets Five Stars
I can't remember the first time I went to a Five Guys Burgers and Fries. I do remember that I thought it was great. The burgers were big, they make fresh cut fries and they give you plenty of them. So you can imagine my delight when I heard that a Five Guys was being built at the north end of Wooster. Waiting for it to be opened was a true test of my patience. It was on Monday, May 30, that they officially opened. Bobby and I had been dog sitting in Lodi, but were heading home in the … [Read more...]
