Did you catch my post on a recent day trip we took to Geneva State Park? We, being my husband Bobby, my parents, Bud and Dolores and my niece and great nephew, Aya and Ameareka. We spent a good deal of time at the park, which is beautiful, clean and a lot of fun -- though it was very hot that day. After exhausting ourselves at the beach and working up an appetite, we needed to find some kind of eatery. Geneva On The Lake, which is a short drive from the state park, has no shortage of options to … [Read more...]
Lessons Learned at Geneva State Park
Maybe it is because yesterday was the Autumnal Equinox (the first day of fall), I feel the need to hold onto summer for just another day or two. I am doing that by reliving the recent visit to Geneva On The Lake, Ohio. We visited on a really hot July day -- although I think the whole summer was really hot. The "we" included my husband, Bobby, my parents, Bud and Dolores, my great-nephew, Ameareka and his mom, Aya. Ameareka is 6 years old and neither he nor his mom had ever seen Lake Erie. Aya … [Read more...]
Osaka: Where Playing with Food is Acceptable

When I turned 10, about 100 years ago, they didn't have places like Rinky Dink Family Fun Center. But now they do, and so, thanks to a terrific offer on Groupon, we (my husband Bobby and I) went there to celebrate our great nephew, DeAveon's birthday. The birthday party consisted of DeAveon, his brother, Noah, his mother (our niece), Ashley, Great … [Read more...]
Spending Time with Boardman, Ohio’s Own Willy Wonka
I have a confession to make. I am a chocoholic. They say that the first step is admitting you have a problem. I know I have a problem, but I just don't want to quit! Thankfully, God blessed me with a man who truly understands me. My husband, Bobby, is the reason that I was able to meet Joe Miller, the owner of Gorant Chocolatier in Boardman, Ohio. Friday, August 12, 2016 was the day when Bobby and I got a private tour of Gorant's factory by its own Willy Wonka. Although he didn't have a purple … [Read more...]
