I don't know about you, but when I see the name of an ice cream shop "Almost Heaven" it seems like a sign that I should give it a try. That is exactly what my husband, Bobby, and I did during a recent trip to Canton, Ohio. We had traveled to Canton to visit the First Ladies Library and Historic site. After our tour we enjoyed lunch at John's Grill, but wanted something sweet to end our day. I did a search for desserts near us and that's when I found Almost Heaven Homemade Ice Cream it was … [Read more...]
5 Things to Enhance Your Ark Encounter Experience
I believe the Bible to be the inspired word of God, without error. Every word, every person and every story are there for a reason. While I enjoy reading the Bible, I also appreciate how I can gain further insights through songs, sermons, plays and object lessons that bring the Bible to life. Dad was a member of the band from its inception in 2004 until recent health challenges in 2018 arose that has prevented him from being able to continue his much … [Read more...]
Gouda Bar & Grill was Very Goud(a), but now it’s Closed
Update: Gouda Bar & Grill might have been very good, but as of Feb. 16, 2019, it is also very closed. Word spread on Facebook about the closing, and today a friend of Bobby's posted on Facebook a picture of the restaurant with the front windows papered over. A lot of people searching for Gouda landed on this blog post because the place didn't have a website, just a Facebook page. It was the second-most popular page on this website, behind Six Things You Need to do in Minerva. Here is the … [Read more...]
