Bobby and I don't have biological children. We do have 5 cats (now that we adopted Kirby) and 1 dog. But we also have 3 other children through Compassion International. Satish, Diane and Christian have been a great blessings in our lives. We have the opportunity to impact them now and for eternity through the ministry of Compassion. Mardi Gras Close to Home
Honestly, I've never really felt the desire to go to New Orleans. I have nothing against the city, its just not on my bucket list. But I do like listening to jazz music from time to time. I had my chance on Saturday when downtown Wooster was filled with jazz. The Wooster Arts Jazz Fest took over downtown Wooster despite the wind and the threat of rain. Bobby and I were able to go there with my mom, Dolores, and one of our great nephews, Noah. The event was put on in partnership … [Read more...]
Kirby, Our Newest Feline Family Member

Weekend Filled with Music, Laughter and Good Friends

I'll be writing about both in the near future--make sure to watch for them. In the meantime, here is a video of Anita Renfroe doing one of my favorites. I hope you … [Read more...]

I'm so unlike my sister, Wendi, who likes butterflies, love stories and happy endings. But, since she knows my enthusiasm for them, she kindly bought me two tickets to Zombie Warfare for my birthday through Groupon. I encouraged her to purchase a 4-pack so she and Bobby, her husband, could come along, but she replied that zombies … [Read more...]
