May seem silly, but the little bit of snow we got today made me think of a trip to Boston when we got snowed in. That made me think of all the trips I've made to the Boston area over the last 20 years. Since Bobby's family is from towns very near Boston, we go visit them almost every year. We usually do some sightseeing when we're there. Now, let me just say that this is definitely not going to be a comprehensive list of things to do. We've been going there all these years and we always … [Read more...]
Happy 2016: Lessons in Reflections
Bobby got a cold for Christmas and he decided to give it to me for New Year's. I've been struggling for a few days just to do the minimum required for getting by--you know eating, sleeping and going to work. However, on this first day of the new year, I wanted to reflect back on the awesomeness that was 2015. I started a blog! Is that not crazy?! It has been such a fun ride. I have gotten to see and do so many cool things. And now they are recorded for all time--or at least until the … [Read more...]
Construction: Gingerbread Style

Randi had gotten two sets of gingerbread villages that included frosting and candy as well as the gingerbread building … [Read more...]
White Christmas: A New Tradition?
My husband, Bobby, is amazing. He always thinks of doing things I enjoy. Tonight, December 19, was no exception. We went to see Irving Berlin's "White Christmas" at the Lion's Lincoln Theatre in Massillon, Ohio. I'm a huge fan of this movie. I love to watch it every Christmas. But I have never seen it o the big screen. It was incredible! When you watch a movie in a theater it is this group experience. If it is a movie that you love and those around you seem to love it, too, it is really … [Read more...]
Sure Fire Way to Get in the Christmas Spirit
Editor's Note: Last year, I went to Castle Noel with family after Thanksgiving. I heard that they may be moving, so if you want to see the museum in its original location, this could very well be the last year to do that. Don't miss it! Recently, I joined my sister, Randi, my parents, Bud and Dolores, my niece, Ashley and her sons, De'Aveon and Noah for a trip into Christmas. Well it was actually a visit to Castle Noel in Medina, Ohio, but it was all things Christmas. Mark Klaus, … [Read more...]
