This is a great time of year to get to watch some of my favorite movies. I enjoy Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye in White Christmas. I love to watch the Muppets along with Michael Caine tell Charles Dickens' Christmas Carol. Even Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer holds a special place in my heart. However, one of my most favorite Christmas movies is Frank Capra's It's a Wonderful Life with Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed. I have watched that movie every year since I was a teenager. I can't imagine … [Read more...]
A Taste of the Homeland
Sometimes it is better to be lucky than good, which is exactly what I think happened on Wednesday, December 7. That day was my husband's birthday. I happened to find 3 Palms Pizzeria & Bakery in Hudson and took him there for lunch. Bobby is a third-generation Italian in this country, and he values his heritage highly. He also loves a good pizza, with a particular affection for authentic Neapolitan pizza. 3 Palms Pizzeria provided the perfect pie to celebrate his birthday. As soon as … [Read more...]
Ricardo Montalban: A Memory of a Lifetime
I was recently looking back over my blog posts and realized I had said I was going to tell my story about Ricardo Montalban. (We met at Cincinnati Bible College and Seminary.) The exact day was Sunday night after we had both returned to Cincinnati after going to our respective families to celebrate the holiday and let them know that we had found each other. We had already decided to get married in the following March, but as I told my family, nothing was … [Read more...]

I am not sure my husband Bobby feels the same way. However, I will say there is an added dimension when you go to a film geared towards children with children in tow. Bobby and I did just that a couple … [Read more...]
