During a recent visit the family of my husband, Bobby, in Massachusetts, we decided to take a quick trip to Vermont. As those of you who have been following my posts know, quick trips are the reason I started this blog to begin with. So taking a three and a half hour ride to Stowe, Vermont, was a no brainer. There is so much to do, but with only 35 hours, many of those were spent in travel or sleep, I have what I would consider the top things to do if you only have a short amount of time to … [Read more...]
Isabella’s Reign as Princess Finally Begins
When my niece, Ashley, asked me if I would want to be with her during the delivery of her third child, I was like "Yes! I was going to ask you if I could come." Now don't think me weird, but since I have never given birth, I thought it would be cool to see this miracle happen. She asked me in the fourth or fifth month of what turned out to be a almost full term pregnancy. That meant for a good four months Ashley and I could have talked about what would be helpful for her in the delivery … [Read more...]
Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan Holds Up After 35 Years
You know it is going to be a good day when you get a call from your dad letting you know that there is a special showing of the greatest Star Trek movie of all time. Or maybe that's just me. Regardless, when I talked to my dad, Bud, on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 about the Wrath of Khan playing at Wooster's Cinemark Movies 10, it was a no brainer that I would be there. I didn't ask any questions, other than what time it was showing. Turns out the reason for it was in celebration of its 35th … [Read more...]
Five Things to do in The Big Apple
We planned our trip to New York City for about a year, give or take a month or two. Through this time frame we would ask friends what they would suggest we do when we were there. We got lots of great ideas, too many to fit into the short five day stay. So now that I am a "pro" at touring the Big Apple, I thought I'd let you know the things I tell someone who was about to visit NYC. Go to a Broadway Show: Whether you like musicals or not, there are tons of options available in the … [Read more...]
Catching our Breath after Taking a Big Bite out of the Big Apple
I know it has been awhile since I have last posted. The reason for this is because I, along with my husband, Bobby, my sister, Randi and her husband, Shaun, have been in New York City, with Times Square serving as our home base. We have explored, traversed and basically wore ourselves out trying to do all we could in the 5 short days we were there. I had thought I would be able to post while there, but honestly by the time I was back at the hotel I was too exhausted to put two syllables … [Read more...]
