If you read my blog yesterday about my dad, Warren Breese, you know I enjoy spending time with him. (If you missed it, you can find it here.) Well, I did that on Saturday, June 18. Spent the day with both of my parents, Warren and Dolores. When my husband, Bobby, and I attended the Cupcake Tour, in April 2016, part of that tour was visiting the JM Smucker Company Store and Cafe. I decided then that for Father's Day I would get my dad a selection of Smucker products. You see when I was … [Read more...]

Happy Father’s Day, Dad! Love, Wendi
While I know tomorrow is Father's Day, I want to take time today to tell you about the man I call my dad, Warren "Bud" "Tom" Breese. Depending on who you are and when you met him, you know him by one of those names. Other than his given name, there are stories for the other ones. With my dad, there are always stories! While doing an initial interview for The Daily Record newspaper with Tizzano in the courtyard of the hotel where we were staying in downtown Richmond, actor Gary Cole walked past us. Cole plays James Green … [Read more...]
Owney: A Rose by Any Other Name, Still Smells Sweet (at Secrest Arboretum)
My mom, Wendi, recently celebrated her birthday week. My dad, Bobby, thought that even though she had gotten to do some really fun things (which you can read about a couple here and here) he really wanted to end the week with just the two of them. Well, you know how cute I can be, especially when I look at them with my "puppy dog" eyes. Add that to the fact that they had spent very little time at home during the week, which meant very little time with me, I convinced Dad that whatever "they" … [Read more...]
