Anita Renfroe is hilarious! She has a way of looking at the world, especially the world of middle-aged women, that can bring the house down — or at least the Medina Performing Arts Center. I attended her comedy concert with a group of friends on Saturday, September 12. We journeyed from Wayne County to Medina to partake in a little “Girls Night Out” event being held there. I had never been to see Anita Renfroe, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I know that I loved her “Momsense” video … [Read more...]

Girls Night Out: Medina Edition
I love hanging out with Bobby. We have so much fun together, no matter what we are doing. But sometimes it is just fun to hang out with a group of women. I had the chance to do just that on Saturday, September 12. One of my good friends, Jan Maxwell, invited me to join her and 6 others (Jen Hatfield, Jaime Jackson, Michelle Kendall, Lori Schultze, Amanda Stull and Deanna White) to attend a Girls Night Out event in Medina. The event featured concerts by Anita Renfroe and Natalie … [Read more...]
How to Paint a Picture of Your Pet in Two Easy Steps
Owney, my dog, is very photogenic. Bobby proves that in all the pictures he has taken of him since August 2013. They had painted a scene that was predetermined. Randi had such a good time doing it, she … [Read more...]

Mardi Gras Close to Home
Honestly, I've never really felt the desire to go to New Orleans. I have nothing against the city, its just not on my bucket list. But I do like listening to jazz music from time to time. I had my chance on Saturday when downtown Wooster was filled with jazz. The Wooster Arts Jazz Fest took over downtown Wooster despite the wind and the threat of rain. Bobby and I were able to go there with my mom, Dolores, and one of our great nephews, Noah. The event was put on in partnership … [Read more...]
