My mom, Wendi, and my dad, Bobby, take a lot of trips. You might think it is because of Mom's blog, but really they've been doing this for as long as I've known them. Sometimes they are just day trips. Sometimes they are longer trips. I'm not sure why I don't get to go along with them. I mean I'm just a 25 pound dog. I don't take up too much space or anything. O.K. I will admit that I'm not the most obedient dog around. I will pull them when we walk. I also know they think I bark too much, but, … [Read more...]

Forrest Gump, Washington D.C. and Me
I love movies. Not all movies, but the ones I like, I have no problem watching over and over again. My husband, Bobby, often records movies from weekends when Dish Network runs specials in hopes that you will upgrade your package. On our DVR right now we have plenty of movies waiting to be watched that I have yet to see. I often select the ones I have already watched and enjoyed previously. I guess there is just something comfortable about watching a movie when I know how it ends. The boy gets … [Read more...]
Wonderful Discovery on ‘The Dark Side of the Moon’ (Akron, actually)
Not too long ago, I saw an ad for a Brit Floyd concert in Cleveland. I had never heard of Brit Floyd, but I figured it was a Pink Floyd Tribute band. I love live music, and I like Pink Floyd, so I put out a call on Facebook to see if any of my friends might want to go the show and feel that warm thrill of confusion, that space cadet glow. I had no takers, so I didn't go. Little did I know then I would go to an Australian Pink Floyd Show concert in Akron. While I never heard of Brit Floyd, … [Read more...]
Honor is Evident at Pallotta Ford Lincoln in Wooster
Have you ever had such a great customer service experience that you just need to share? I haven't had many, but today (August 20, 2016) I had an awesome experience at Pallotta Ford Lincoln in Wooster, Ohio. The saga that led to my being at Pallotta's started a few weeks ago when my husband, Bobby and I met our niece, Ashley and her boys at the Mansfield Art Center. When Bobby saw and heard Ashley's car, he got real nervous. It seemed to be his focus. He would tell me often, "Ashley needs … [Read more...]
Owney Says: A Celebration is in Order
I always find it funny when humans say that time flies. They look up and say things like, "I can't believe it is August already! Where did the summer go?" Or my favorite is when my grandpa, Bud, comments about how fast time goes the older he gets. It is true the guy is no spring chicken, but he still doesn't really understand how fast time goes for us dogs. See, I'm six years old (by birthday is in May). That makes me 42 years old in dog years, which is almost as old as my favorite uncle, … [Read more...]
