While my mom, Wendi, is busy getting ready for Christmas, I decided to hijack her blog once again. This time I want to talk about one of my favorite things. No, it's not rain drops on roses or whiskers on kittens...although I do like chasing kittens...but that isn't the same thing. It is Doggie Day Care. I'm lucky enough to get to go every Wednesday to day care at Cleveland Road Animal Hospital and Pet Hotel in Wooster, Ohio. Mom and Dad (Bobby) say that I need to go 'cause when I don't, I get … [Read more...]

Construction: Gingerbread Style

White Christmas: A New Tradition?
My husband, Bobby, is amazing. He always thinks of doing things I enjoy. Tonight, December 19, was no exception. Recently, I joined my sister, Randi, my parents, Bud and Dolores, my niece, Ashley and her sons, De'Aveon and Noah for a trip into Christmas. Well it was actually a visit to Castle Noel in Medina, Ohio, but it was all things Christmas. Mark Klaus, … [Read more...]
12 Places to Stay in Ohio’s Amish Country (and Get Some Cookies, Too)
Bobby and I have been married for more than 20 years and we have always enjoyed visiting the Ohio Amish Heartland in Holmes County. Sometimes it is just a quick trip for the day and other times it is for a long weekend. We have enjoyed staying at bed and breakfasts and hotels. It has always been a matter of searching the internet to find a place to stay. However, on Saturday, December 12, 2015, we had the opportunity to join 700 others by attending the 8th Annual Christmas Cookie Tour of Inns, … [Read more...]
