I love cats…a lot. Those who know me, are not surprised by this statement. We have four right now, but have had as many as seven. I know, I don't really need another cat. But my dad told me when I was a little girl, that when I grew up I could have all the darn animals I wanted. Well, tonight, I have brought home a new kitten. Our friends, John and Jackie Drake, who own Valley Oaks Farm, had a kitten show up recently. They were not in a market for a new kitten. I, however, have … [Read more...]

Weekend Filled with Music, Laughter and Good Friends
Hey, had a great weekend with friends. I was invited by Jan Maxwell to go with a group of friends to Anita Renfroe and Natalie Grant Concert on Saturday. Sunday, I went with Angie Smith to see Vince Gill at the Wayne County Fair. (Seen above talking to the members of Keepsake, Kim Beckler, left, LaDean Knapp and Shirley Wharton.) I'll be writing about both in the near future--make sure to watch for them. In the meantime, here is a video of Anita Renfroe doing one of my favorites. I hope you … [Read more...]
Randi’s Note to Zombies: I Will Survive! (Hopefully)
Guest Blog by Randi Breese I like zombies. Well, I love the TV series the Walking Dead and generally any end-of-the-world-as-we-know-it scenario movies or shows. I encouraged her to purchase a 4-pack so she and Bobby, her husband, could come along, but she replied that zombies … [Read more...]
Hanging Out and Being a Kid Again
I grew up with two sisters and would never consider myself very active. The most activity I did when I was a kid was either riding bikes or playing Barbies. But this past Sunday, September 6, I got to be all kinds of active while hanging out with De'Aveon and Noah in Lodi. They were up with their mom, Ashley, visiting Grandma and Grandpa. Spending a day with boys who are nine and five years old, can be quite exhausting. As soon as I arrived, Noah and I went downstairs to play a game of … [Read more...]
I Scream. You Scream. We all Scream for Pav’s Creamery!
Have you ever had the experience of discovering something awesome by accident? I don’t have a lot of experiences like that, but I did just this past weekend. Pav’s Creamery is awesome! Bobby and I took Owney to Portage Lakes State Park on Labor Day and on our way there we passed Pav’s Creamery. It is on the corner of Manchester Road and State Road. Bobby said we needed to stop there on our way back. I had no intention of doing such a thing. From the quick glimpse I had, it looked like some … [Read more...]
